DARE TO BELIEVE

DO NOT BE UNBELIEVING, BUT BELIEVING…BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO HAVE NOT SEEN AND YET HAVE BELIEVED.

This week, Heather and Diana discuss how belief is a choice. Often the enemy wants us to believe that our circumstances and our feelings dictate our understanding, as if we have no choice. But God invites us to hold onto the truth of His Word, even if it’s contrary to what we feel. That’s the power of faith.

WORSHIP: ASKING GOD FOR HELP

THEN SHE CAME AND WORSHIPED HIM, SAYING, “LORD, HELP ME!”

This week, Heather and Diana discuss how crying out to God and seeking His wisdom, His help, and His counsel are acts of worship. Our willingness to turn to the Lord first communicates to Him our trust and belief in His power, His authority, and His promise to be our refuge.

SIMPLICITY & SCRIPTURE

YOU SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES, FOR IN THEM YOU THINK YOU HAVE ETERNAL LIFE, AND THESE ARE THEY WHICH TESTIFY OF ME.

This week, Heather and Diana discuss how the discipline of simplicity can be applied to how we read the Word.  Often times we look to scripture with a complicated and self-focused agenda, searching through verses to read what we want to read and glean what we hope to glean.  And although God does use scripture to guide us and give us wisdom for our daily living, He uses the Word to simply reveal Himself that we might know Him and, in Him, find everything we need.

EMOTIONAL SIMPLICITY

FOR IF OUR HEART CONDEMNS US, GOD IS GREATER THAN OUR HEART, AND KNOWS ALL THINGS.

This week, Heather and Diana discuss how simplicity can apply to our emotional well-being.  In Christ, we are free to step off the roller coaster of emotions that can lead to prolonged depression or, on the other extreme, irrational euphoria.  We can be like King David, who did not adhere to the world’s mantra – “trust your heart” – but instead, chose to trust and hope in God and His Word to deal with overwhelming emotions.

FIRST LOVE

I KNOW YOUR WORKS, YOUR LABOR, YOUR PATIENCE…NEVERTHELESS, I HAVE THIS AGAINST YOU, THAT YOU HAVE LEFT YOUR FIRST LOVE.

This week, Heather and Diana discuss the importance of putting our relationship, oneness, and intimacy with the Lord first and foremost in our lives. Dwelling with the Lord, our first love, must be our highest priority because He is worthy, and it will exponentially increase our ability to experience His presence and His goodness.
