The Vegas Massacre

WE ARE HARD-PRESSED ON EVERY SIDE, YET NOT CRUSHED; WE ARE PERPLEXED, BUT NOT IN DESPAIR…

In this week’s conversation, Heather and Diana reflect and acknowledge the tragedy that broke many hearts and took too many lives:  the mass shooting in Las Vegas on Sunday, October 1st.  Faced with a display of pure evil, questions about God’s sovereignty and goodness are bound to arise.  Heather and Diana turn to scripture to explore answers to these questions and try to understand what it means to suffer as Christ followers.

They also pray for the families of those whose lives were taken and for those who were injured physically and emotionally scarred by the events of that horrific night.  They pray for peace and the Light of Christ to flood into their lives as they heal and recover.  And they pray that the assurance that God is just will be a comfort to their souls.  “For it is written, ‘Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,’  says the Lord.” Romans 12:19
